And Tom got roped into showing off his Bristish Masters Pentathlon Silver medal, won last week in Oxford. The 5 events were Long Jump, Javelin, 200m, Discus and 1500m. That could be you next year!!
For those looking to do sessions to improve their speed try to incorporate the Tuesday session at 5:45 at the RSC and also the Circuit training for members on Wednesday at 7pm in KilBarra sports centre. Click HERE for location map.
Alternatively, make sure your name is at the sign in sheet for competing members and you can use the RSC anytime (including Sat & Sun) for just €2. Shot, discus, high jump etc all provided by asking at the front desk at the RSC.
If you want guidance on suitable sessions to do ask Derek, Mal or Tom anytime. If you identify the event/distance you want to focus on let them know and they will give you sessions to work through.
The club thanks Mal for organising the session on Saturday and for Tom and Jacinta in helping him and of course Derek coming along to get everyone in the 'zone' for the relay changeovers!!
Any seniors/masters interested in competing (as guests) next Sunday June 6th in Tullamore in the Leinster championships can find more info by clicking here and also graded series events are on throughout the summer in dublin and cork.
Any Queries/comments contact Tom at tom@waterfordac.com

What standard will the graded series be in cork?
This is the first year of the cork one as far as I know so presuming it is the same as the Dublin series. There is generally A,B and C for sprints and A,B,C and D for middle distance races. Field events are generally male & female together as numbers are generally low. As a start it is best to begin at grade C or D and move up through the weeks if appropriate.
good luck in cork lads. pat
